Understanding Universal Credit Calculations
Who is this course for?
This course is for any staff or volunteer who has a basic understanding of Universal Credit.
Aims
This 2.5 hour course is for staff and volunteers who want to gain a better understanding of how Universal Credit payments are calculated in different client circumstances.
Objectives
At the end of the course delegates will have gained knowledge of:
- Basic Universal Credit allowances
- Elements in Universal Credit
- Rent Support in Universal Credit
- What income reduces the amount payable
- Where calculation errors are likely to appear
A complete set of slides will be provided at the end of the course.

On the day you will be able to join the course 15 minutes before the start time and will go into a waiting room until the trainer admits you.
