Who is this course for?

This course is for any staff or volunteer who has a basic understanding of Universal Credit.

Aims

This 2.5 hour course is for staff and volunteers who want to gain a better understanding of how Universal Credit payments are calculated in different client circumstances.

Objectives

At the end of the course delegates will have gained knowledge of:

  • Basic Universal Credit allowances
  • Elements in Universal Credit
  • Rent Support in Universal Credit
  • What income reduces the amount payable
  • Where calculation errors are likely to appear
