When does Child Benefit stop

If your child continues in non-advanced education Child Benefit can continue until they turn 20.  There are particular rules if you, or your partner if you have one, is earning over £50k.  If your child stops non-advanced education before they are 20 Child Benefit continues to the  terminal date The terminal date for child benefit is the first of the following that falls after the date the child left education or training: The last day of February; 31 May; 31 August; 30 November .

Child Benefit stops when the earliest of the following happens:

• Your child is 16 or over and has stopped full-time non-advanced education and the terminal date has passed.
• Your child reaches 20
